报告人简介：Dr. Carolin Brik is a professor at the department of Civil Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, University of Duisburg-Essen, Essen, Germany. She obtained her PhD from Technische Universität Dresden, Germany in 2004. She has made a series contributions in the filed of wave radiation and scattering in heterogeneous medium using the scaled boundary finite element method. She was awarded the K.J. Bathe Award for the Best Paper by a Young Researcher in the Field of Computational Engineering published in the International Journal Computers & Structures during 2006-2007. She also got the Young Researcher Fellowship Award for exemplary research in computational mechanics conferred by The Second M.I.T. Conference on Computational Fluid and Solid Mechanics. She has published over 40 papers in the high quality journals.
